But seriously, this is the next step in the EtD, a zero to hero program, however, getting around the FAA 1500 ATP is still the biggest hurdle. It isn't going to work, and there is no way Delta pilots are going to let MPL pilots take over on long haul aircraft. AA however, is doing it right with mapping out the career progression of the express carrier pilots. 9E alone is going to lose triple digit numbers of pilots to one of the AMR wholly owned carriers.
