The guys doing the interview are line pilots, they have a vested interest in keeping the "less than desirable" candidates from progressing through the process, it only takes a few 13 hr days sitting next to a "less than desirable" to make the job less palatable. As a side note while relatively rare, SKYW has let some "less than desirable" personality candidates go home, unemployed.
