In fact, our organization conducts programs to introduce youths to airline pilot and other aviation carers. You are probably right. Most people on message boards are probably the negative complainers and you find that in any profession. I will contiue to ask questions hopeing to get real answers honest and objective answers.

Since you and your organization are into ruining young lives why don't you pass out crack and meth samples while you are at it? At least drugs have the courtesy to kill you in the end. Aviation will rob one of their friends, family, financial security, self esteem and leave you completely lucid afterwards to think about how you ****ed your life away. I am sure that if you tried you could find a few people who are homeless or in prison who are happy about it, that doesnt mean that it is a good idea. I think it is irresponsible to sell a fading dream. You should research the facts for yourself on how many pilots are actually able to make a life out of it. Kids today are spending almost 200K on college and flight training expenses to get a job that pays 17K, and it is getting worse. For every one happy legacy pilot there are 15 angry ones and another 30 who never got their first real flying job. The future isn't very bright either. Why not let young kids live a healthy productive life and have at least a chance? You could drive them to an American Idol audition or encourage them to become artists.
