Well thanks, PC. You have just removed the last impediment to immediate retirement for a large number of retirement eligible pilots before peak fully sets in! They can now retire any day they like, because entering mediation means no chance of an improved agreement before the end of the year or before they turn 65. No point in hanging around for more sim checks, line checks, low vis approaches, de-icing, sick leave harassment, deviation nickel and diming, etc. and general disrespect of this extremely hard working crew force.
