Im not saying the situation (regional airlines existence) is good or beneficial to any pilot, I am saying its a part of our world that is likely to remain that way for the foreseeable future. If flying is offered to the regional world through RFPs then anyone at a regional hopes it comes to their company to allow for career progression, of course if mainline pilots keep giving their flying away that career progression might never be realized.
