Another point, especially with light aircraft is after landing you still need to make it to the terminal or tie down. Decades ago I landed a C150 in at least a 40 KT wind. The buddy I visited was telling all his friends what a hell of a pilot I was. What he didn't realize was that the wind was straight down the runway. It was a harrowing ride to the tie down. So not a super pilot but a dumb one...
