Its not for free now. You pay for the ios system and will every year. You will have to pay whatever Coradine decides is necessary to make their business work. They changed their business model and pay system already, why would/should anyone believe they wont again?

He's actually correct. In either case, having the iOS and syncing ability, will cost $50 per year. If you buy it now, before the 8th, you will not have to buy each of the apps on top of the yearly fee. The Mac version is completely free, i just downloaded it and uploaded my old logbook from an older version of Logten. After the 8th, you have to pay for each upfront and then again yearly. I guess that's their way of getting the other $20 per month. It's a much better deal right now. Also, you don't have to continue the subscription. You can stop at anytime and continue to use the Mac version free.
