I would say the 2G is still thin enough you can see your hand move behind it but it is not as thin as a common light white dress shirt that you would wear with a suit. I prefer the Stratus over the rest, it is very light and comfortable.

All shirts need to be pressed. So I may be the wrong person to give advice on that one, I cant imagine taking any shirt out of a dryer, popping some bars on it and heading to the airport. The both iron well and the more you starch them up, obviously the crisper they become.
