What I've been doing lately, if I know for sure I'm going to be there, is book a hotel in East Memphis on Hotwire. Non refundable, but a better deal than anything here. I got what is supposed to be a pretty nice hotel (Hotel Memphis) for $53. 3 1/2 star hotel, they claim.

Hate to say it magicrat, but I think all the prices have gone up on your hotels. In particular the Holiday Inn Express and Four Points, they change their crew rate based upon whether they decide they want us there or not. I think the last time I called the Holiday Inn, the rate was way higher.
