Cal was understaffed, Ual was overstaffed...we are about 300 retirements and early outs sooner than expected compared to the July 2014 seniority list. That's 13 months...that's huge. Now we are understaffed once again.
They are hiring 1300 + pilots and the reserves are flying 70-90 hours a month all the while training is full. They are going to make small moves and shuffle when they can while allowing aircraft growth and attrition to solve displacement costs namely a company wide snowball that would trigger should the 100+ IAH be enacted expeditiously.
Those who would argue that I'm full of it and that the company will act fast to satisfy hurt ego's and satisfy the SLI, I now present exhibit A. The Ipad EFB - only 3 years and counting behind schedule.
