Probably goes along with the story of the young Captain with the Recruiting Command who previewed the once popular TV commercial which showed the Marine battling some firelike monster/demon on a bridge with the sword. The Commandant said 'I don't get it', the Captain's answer was 'Sir - you don't have to get it, you are not the target audience'
