Review each section of the guide and start building a notebook with as much information as possible. Study the concepts, formulas and ideas. Do not try to memorize questions and answers. If you live by the gouge you will die by the gouge. Use the gouge cautiously.
I had pondered the radar reflectivity question, knowing ice had nearly no return, big water droplets have a large return, and
water covered hail should show up pretty well (sooper cooled, liquid state, nasty stuff in a turboprop. Flying the line the game was to paint through the storm, not just the tops. ... Either from the bottom up or top down)
I still don't know the answer they were looking for. The gouge answer was wrong (based on science and experience).
Tried to find the answer: IWC = ¼ sum of r /Z Dmax Dmin ratio by (XN i¼1 fiðDÞViðDÞ" # / NðDÞdD) ... but just went with "B"
Got hired ... go figure.
