It won't be corrected until all the senior guys who say stuff like "scope is not worth the paper it's written on" retire. Maybe things will change as the pilot group gets younger. I think pilots coming from the regionals have a better understanding of scope than the pilots who have been on the property for 25+ years.
At the end of the day, we have to be willing to fight for it. There won't be a quick fix and contract negotiations will drag out for a long time. Do we have the patience? Can we stomach long, drawn-out negotiations for big gains? Or, will we roll over and accept the very first TA presented to us?
Anyway, I'm not trying to hijack the thread. Back to hiring, interviews, applications, career fairs, etc.
