Great approach, just make sure you have some exposure in (at a minimum) bonds and international.
Believe it or not, Schwab has an equivalent Total Stock Market fund, for even less of an expense ratio than the VTSMX.

Max out your 401k, take full advantage of the company match, and really watch your retirement account grow. You can only put $5500 into your Vanguard IRA- you can dump $17.5k annually into your 401k. With the match, on 4th or 5th year pay, you can conceivably double that to $35k a year... You can even keep the same strategy you're using over at Vanguard!
