I also got the draw a turbine engine question (I was flying a citation when I interviewed), and my sketch was also quite terrible. Considering I used to work as a stress analysis engineer on turbine engines, that was pretty funny! But like you, I could talk about it all day long and they didn't care about my crappy drawing abilities at all (thank God we used CAD when I was an engineer!).
