And then for the ever elusive more helpful information:

If you had a flying job they are required to send a PRIA request. If you had any other kind of DOT covered position they have to send a alcohol/drug test request. As for non-flying non-DOT jobs, I'm sure some are more diligent to call than others. If it was your most recent employer then odds are they will probably call. The place you worked for 10 years ago? Probably not so much.

You want to be as open, complete and transparent as possible. It is MUCH easier to explain something negative that you disclosed rather trying to explain why you didn't disclose something.
