Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm trying to get an answer on min days protection from guys that have "been there and done that" before. I have carryover from Nov into Dec; about 6 days. I was awarded a line that has a 12 day trip right in the middle of Dec which ends on Christmas Day (Zulu time), but on Christmas Eve (MEM local time). I also have a trip that carries over into January. Right now I only have 13 days off (I believe we get 16 in a 5 week bid month), but I forgot to protect min days on my bid input; however, during the "bid period processing link" it allows me to enter min days off protection. So can I still protect min days off or am I screwed? Will they drop the long trip in the middle of the month or one of the carryover trips? Just kind of curious from anyone that has had this happen to them before. Thanks.
