Could not disagree more. I have had two kids as well as multiple different surgeries for my wife and myself on the CDHP and it was great. In the end I paid less over all out of pocket then when I had my first kid under the old Skywest insurance.
I have kids that go to the doctor as well as one on a very expensive prescription and I love the CDHP. The great part about the CDHP is you don't pay any more than you pay for the PPO but instead of forking all your money over to the insurance company you have control over the bulk of it in your HSA. I hope to never have a traditional health care plan ever again.
