Either way I think Jetblue would be stupid for not trying to increase their profits, the question is, what exactly is JetBlues business model? Is it LCC, quasi-legacy?, little bit of both? One thing I admire about Spirit is they know exactly what the model/plan is and that's a good thing, seems like JetBlue is trying to do both, maybe it will work, maybe it won't but it seems they are moving away from what made them so popular to begin with. Of course losing money to "stay true" to your roots doesn't make sense either.............
We are right in the middle.
Not sure if that was the plan but due to the ULCCs coming along it puts us in the middle.
I think we know who we are, we just need to change a few things
adapt or die.
Like I said in the other post we have made money without this but we were weak if this works you will be looking at a much stronger JetBlue who is moving much of its flying to FLL.
That could be a problem for other airlines.
We still have the best Econ section so I guess we will see how it all works.
In the end the passangers will decide.
When we go with charging for drinks, snacks, carry ons, boarding passes, take out the tv's and go with non reclining seats than we will be hyprocritical.
