I'd be nervous if I were really junior on the E175 in SFO with a bunch of senior CRJ FOs in SFO, LAX and FAT who would potentially knock me way down if a Delta contract shows up. There could be massive growth on the plane and massive attrition which would make it not matter, but to me it seems like a roll of the dice. You could get stuck at the bottom for years.

The 10 people ahead of me in my domicile were in the new hire class before me though. I'd be about 25 spots senior company wide if I managed to take a class a week earlier. There's also a lot to be said for just that one day of seniority.
Chances of Delta contract showing up is quite slim because as far as I understand it they are maxed out on scope in that regard unless we swap 900s. A big factor for not changing over for a lot of FOs between 4-7 years seniority is that they know upgrade is coming and why change planes and upgrade at the same time or change planes just to potentially upgrade on the CRJ. Whilst there are more overnights being added the trip variety in ORD on the 175 is terrible with 80% or more of the pairings being 4 days, if thats your thing then great.
