It sure seems like a fun Pilot group as well. Ive met many Atlas crews overseas and they are good people. Lifestyle and QOL is important indeed. I am really missing those long blocks of days off that i had flying freight.
Yes, the group as a whole is made up of good dudes. But you rarely get to see your friends due to constant schedule changes. You bid for a pattern based on seniority only to see it disappear before day one.
Most of the guys and and gals at Atlas are can do, outside the box people who have a lot of international experience. We move the freight in spite of many obstacles. It takes a certain kind of mentality to fly at Southern, Evergreen, Kalitta, or Atlas. And it adds insult to injury to be treated so poorly by the company.
The bright side is seeing the world, not working in a cubicle, living wherever you want, and having longer blocks of days off.
