IMO, there a far smarter guys than me on this topic, but IMO again, if you are gonna have surgery, DPMP let's you choose the best doctor in the country to do it and covers it after the deductible. Higher premiums are a small price to pay for that...
Thanks Scambo, I've been emailing with Mark Shanahan(Union R&I chief) and he sent me a good comparison. DPMP and Gold HRA are pretty close. There is about a $1000 diff in higher premiums with DPMP but OOP is about $2000 less for DPMP. Just gotta figure what a surgery would do to my OOP.
