It seems to have been working at some companies. But the number of flow-throughs seem to have been minimal. At Endeavor for instance, the new hires get the preferential hire after 2 years as a captain. Not sure though how long it takes to get to the left seat. And from what I hear from Envoy guys is that many are being "held back" because of staffing issues. A good friend of mine at AA says mostly military guys are being hired and the few flow throughs from Envoy. Virtually none off the street.
