I'm hoping December was an anomaly since there were only 20 lines. Looking at ATL 717 trips, most are 4 days and hopefully NYC resolves to something like that pretty fast. You need to remember that a lions share of the flying of the NYC 717 is going to be shuttle, so there will be a good many 1 day trips. They are going to get "see America" trips but I wouldn't imagine it's going to be in the next couple of months.
Why do you think the category went so junior. Once it stabilizes more senior guys will be bidding the category, which is another reason to hold off for a little bit. I don't know how many times I've heard guys complain about being a reserve guy when they jumped on the first bid and could hold a line only to get bumped back on every bid after that.
Here is a little bit of trivia for you guys. Marking the regular line holder only box on a bid does not guarantee you a line all year round. Because we have seasonal high times and down times you may only get a line during the summer months.
