From what I see, it isn't all about times. The people I know that have been hired (regional people), here is the commonality:

-Big aviation school (UND, ERAU, MTSU, etc)
-3.5GPA or better
-Volunteer work while in college
-More than 7yrs at a regional
-Something that stands you out at your regional. There has been from my airline 2CPs, 2LCAs, 3 Instructors, and two ALPA committee chairmen. (A couple had 2 or more of these attributes)
-Out of those, 4 have been women and 7 have been men.
-Times varied...most have 2000+hrs PIC and one of my friends recently got the CJO with zero PIC but he was a Maint check pilot as an FO after 7yrs of line flying plus met all items above.

Those are the only things I can find in common with people that have gotten the interview. As far as I know, no civilian pilot has gotten the interview just by PIC time and being JUST a line pilot.
