That's what you get when you are a publicly traded company. By law your duty is to the shareholder. If you want to stay a privately held company, then you can pretty much run it the way you see fit, you can be customer focused.
A publicly-traded company's duty to it employes and customers are also required by law. If you doubt me, head to the nearest library and check out the volumes of information on labor, employment and consumer protection law.
Regardless, you've made an attempt to change the subject and I refuse to let you off by making the assertion that being good for an airlines shareholders is also good for the industry. The ash heap of airline history is full of perfect examples to the contrary.
