The previous posts are still accurate. The latest new hire class had both Airbus and MD80 guys in Florida. Be aware that if you are junior in the new hire class you WILL be going to the TDY base. Several of the most junior pilots in that class got assigned the TDY base and I have heard most are not happy with it.
Just remember if you come here be prepared to walk the picket line with us. It looks as though that may be a possibility sooner rather than later.
I have been reading this thread for a while, and truthfully it has deterred me from applying. It seems as though my airline might be on the brink of closing doors. Going to a regional for me would suck major ***. I really wasn't thinking of applying here because of what I read, but lately things at my place are getting worse. If a new hire came online only to enter a strike situation within a few months, what would that dynamic look like?
I am not one to cross a picket line, but on probation status within first year, isn't that pretty much saying you might as well resign if you don't take the flight?
