But I will not hold my breath.
I have been at G7 a long time and can tell you that there is no other airline in the US like it. G7's ability to watch a penny is really a true science, an art. They are cutthroat and do not mind breaking a law or 2 to save a penny. If a FA comes out in support of a union she will be hassled, written up, made upset and paranoid. Then she will be given a check ride, fail and be fired. They will build a case against her before doing anything and they do it very quickly. If she gets cancer, same procedure. She can sue and in the end they might settle by giving her 20 to 35k to go away. They might be saving 500k in medical bills not having to pay for the cancer treatments. Its a smart business move. The other FAs don't support a union and they save a fortune there. They do similar things to the pilots. I understand there is one check airman and if he is there to give you a check ride your days are probably numbered. Maybe his reputation alone makes the guys nervous to where they fail? The pay is low and is not going to get better. But, if you stay in hiding successfully and not get a target on your back you won't have to worry about the airline going under because they are the lowest cost carrier and that is not going to change. And you won't have to fly with many overweight people, it takes money to eat so we have what we call the "Gojet Diet", no money for food. They are good about getting us hotels with free breakfast. Aside from them failing you on a check ride to get rid of you, the worst thing there are the cold destinations. Other than an occasional Jacksonville, FL and a San Antonio there is nowhere warm, which makes for a long winter!
