Default Status of ATP written - article

For those interested, I happen to see this in the January 2015 Flight Training magazine laying around the local FBO. Obviously the magazine is very current but not sure when the article was written.

It goes on to say that "Two students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University are the first in the nation to complete a newly required course for the multiengine airplane airline transport pilot certificate, the school announced recently."

If this article is even remotely current, that means only two people have taken the ATP written exam since August 1st! (not including any other schools).

The article further goes on to say that there are currently only 5 FAA approved programs that can issue an ATP CTP. Of those 5, two are both of the ERAU campuses. It also goes on to say that "The program is available to full-time students...." meaning you have to be in their program to take the course I guess.
