I'm glad the wash out rate is high. I know for a fact that PSA training department is quite solid. Flew with a bunch of ex comair, DHL, fractional pilots and they've all said PSA training is equally hard as their previous hardest initial experiences or is the hardest so far but fair. And all the brand new 121 FOs I've been flying with are sharper than I was when I went through so I think they'll be alright.
You still counting your imaginary PSA Jumpseat denial numbers? Must be near thousands by now.
I do not know percentages for the pass/fail rate here at PSA. I can only tell you my experience with PSA. I just finished sim training this week. The sim instructors are very professional and are good at what they do. My sim partner and I were both previous 121 guys, and neither of us were typed in the CRJ. We both had less then 400 hours 121 time, so we were still pretty new to flying 121. We were both CFI before our previous 121 job. We both passed our type ride with no problems, and needed no extra sim events before the Checkride. We had 2 weeks off between ground training in DAY before going to the sims. Start to finish was 2 weeks for our sims. You simply have to prepare and do your part. Training at PSA was comparable to my training experience at my previous 121 job. PM me if you have any questions about PSA.
