From my understanding, just like the Airlines do not care about what your degree is in (basket weaving, anybody?!), they really do not care about an online degree...A traditional degree only shows that you can succeed in that type of environment. Once you get through your first Initial Airline training program, it shows that you're trainable by their standards.
Don't let anybody here make the decision for you - we are not intimately knowledgeable about your situation...do whats best for you. But GET a degree somewhere!
Not to throw spears, but it may be helpful to the younger guys if you can post your experiences about flying the line while trying to finish a degree. I did so, but not online. It was a challenge to stay motivated. Luckily for me, I was flying out and backs almost every trip. I couldn't imagine having to do it when being out of town for the better part of the week. My advice is to finish school and then start working for a living.
