Sure, and that's why I carefully chose the words that I used. First, it was yesterday's filed route. Second, it was a filed route. That amounts to little more than a hint of today's route.
Case in point: If you look at the current (as of this typing) track for DAL 148, you'll see that he's filed as follows:
DAL Flt 148 (This link will only be useful for the duration of this flight.)
MERIT3 MERIT HFD PUT BRADD N39A BANCS URTAK 4600N 05000W 4600N 04000W 4500N 03000W 4500N 02000W 4500N 01500W SIVIR UN460 RIVAK UN460 DESAB UN460 FOUCO UT187 LERGA UM728 BTA UL146 MOULE UL146 ELKAP
It looks like the random route is better suited today.

FlightAware does keep a history of LAT/LONG, Altitude, and Airspeed for domestic flights, a "table" in addition to the "picture" plot -- no help on the pond crossings. They post this note:
At least part of this flight occurs outside of FlightAware's service area. Information on this page may be unreliable.
[EDIT]
Disregard the above. The Flight Track Log (
Track Log for DAL 148) gives time, position,
groundspeed, and altitude -- not airspeed.
