People are misinformed and assume flying for a regional (any of them) will be better than instructing. Then, they get there and reality sinks in and end up leaving. Unfortunately, there are certain things that must be learned the hard way. I learned the hard way but walked away before I put in any real time. I did gain invaluable experience. I got to see what it was like to fly for a company that will back stab employees. I got to learn all my aircraft systems in practice due to all the MELs. I got to experience an abnormal situation at least once a month. In general, those who are attending a University will have a different approach than those who are not for the most part. You can't forget that there are those out there who have no student loans and so any return value by any airline will be more than money invested in this career. Too, many factors to list and those vary with up bringing and economical backgrounds. But, not to worry. Those who do decide to go there and are people of value, will not last a year.
