We already were vetted when hired at a mainline. No comparison in new hire quals between a legacy and regional. Also, we had language in our contract preventing fragmentation and the honoring of our seniority list. You did not and still don't.
Arbitrary barriers only serve to create cut throat competition, where management gets pilots at low cost to gain experience needed to do an easier job. In turn that lowers the value of your labor, as I can do a better job for half the price.
