Theres a work-around that makes it work for the 175 guys. You use your United N number when they ask you for your employee number, the company code stays SkyWest (OO) and you will then be listed as a regular jump seater. Somehow your N number is connected to CASS.
I think you're talking about how to list for a United jumpseat with the N number? And this issue is for Skywest pilots trying to ride Delta jumpseats.
If using the United N number on a Delta flight works then great but not sure it'll work.
