Seems to me you guys should just pay the $50 and the problem is solved. To non-rev anywhere you have to pay that $50 anyways. I don't completely understand the issue, but denying jumpseats is not going to get this fixed sooner. I'd imagine you guys would end up worse off in the long run if you start denying Delta guys the jumpseat.
My first year at my regional I didn't make enough money to even consider non-reving somewhere so I decided not to pay the $50 or in my case $150 for myself and my wife(ASA). In the entire year I had only two situations where a gate agent refused to list me due to non payment of fees. I tried explaining twice that I was not non-reving but Jumpseating which is a negotiated privilege and to no avail. 99% of the time though I had good agents who would list me on the J/S then tell me which seat to take in the back if there was an open one, in all such cases I would still check-in with the skipper seeing as I was on an official j/s pass.
May just be my shortsighted opinion but paying for a negotiated Professional privilege just doesn't seem right, especially when you support contracted operations for that specific airline. Again I completely understand non-revenue leisure travel to be different from Jumpseating to and from work. Just my two cents. I hope OO and DL get that resolved in a professional manner.
