Yes, guys are getting hired right out of class (still in class actually) to majors. It happened to two guys in my class. One got his hiring notification the third week we were in class and another got hired between Indoc and Sims. Both were either prior military or prior 121.

As the majors start doing a lot of hiring next year, which should continue for several years after that, all of the prior 121 guys at PSA with at least 3-4,000 hours will be subject to leaving pretty quick, even if they're still an FO.

This talk about the last 12-14 month upgrade FO already being hired due to the expansion of the fleet isn't taking into account the accelerated rate at which pilots, both FO's and CA's, will be leaving. Even after PSA takes delivery of all the 700's and 900's, which isn't scheduled to be completed until Dec 2016, there will still be quick upgrades so long as the end of the pipeline leading to the majors keeps flowing. Of course, if that stops, then everything upstream will stop as well.

The truth is, the only people who know for sure are the ones who can tell the future....so go grab your magic 8-balls.
