Just remember that today's upgrade time is simply the seniority of the most junior guy eligible. With reduced attrition and growth, a 2 year upgrade could become 5 or even 10 years over the span of a month. The opposite could happen too. Eagle's upgrade is sitting around 5-7 years, but is expected to drop to 3 years with anticipated increases in attrition. Bottom line, unless you are willing to work for one of the companies that really abuses their crews, don't chase upgrade time.
I also thought Mesa's upgrade was relatively short due to the tsunami like waves of attrition. Its all a gamble. Place your chips smartly so that you don't get disillusioned like SkyHigh if your plan doesn't work out exactly as you thought it would.
