In a letter about our drop in the JD Power survey dated 12/10/14 Gary said the following:
"A uniform item that is not helping our image is the
transition jacket. I am going to ask that we do not wear the transition jacket
from now until April. Please wear one of the other approved jackets in the
FOM, the blazer and leather jackets resonate with our passengers and reflect
the great pride you have in your professionalism."
Essentially, Gary is asking for voluntary compliance. If he doesn't see enough to satisfy him you can bet he will make a policy change in the FOM. Since they are offering to pay shipping for new uniform items through January 15, I foresee some enforcement action starting next year.
