The power, the fear, the "corporate bullies" have always had has been rooted in their control of access to their airplanes. We "need" their airplanes to have a job, the airlines "need" them to have revenue. So, who really needs them more?

How generous of the airlines to grant us such privileged access to their only means of staying in business. We should do it almost for free, they're so good to give us such pretty new airplanes to fly around in. I mean, it's so cool that they let us fly them!
