The "intent" according to an ALPA KCM guy was to allow commuting pilots and flight attendants to preserve their uniforms during their commute to and from work....They did not work on this at all for non-rev travel....Just as you are not allowed to use your ID now to be excluded from screening or the liquid rules while you are traveling for pleasure......
