To the best of my understanding, that did in fact happen. Except that it was the Company that came to Heppner for relief. He was at our Captain Upgrade event in Chicago last night and brought that subject up. I don't FULLY understand what transpired, but what Heppner said was that the company agreed to the Scope provision as they are now and when American/Delta (Company, not pilots) got a better deal with their scope, United came back to ALPA to renegotiate and Heppner said no. So the company won't get relief from ALPA on it. At least not this time around.
Anybody know anything for sure different, please chime in.
