In CLT, you can get away with no car. There's a Chili's, a Denny's, Subway and a McD's all within walking distance. In addition, there's a Sonny's BBQ...but their service is lousy. There's also a Japanese place, but never tried it. Other hotel gusts warned me away from it. There's also a convenience store across from McD's.

If you're staying for a couple of weeks, there's a COSTCO nearby. The hotel staff is very helpful and will take you anywhere you need to go.
