Ok had my phone interview the other day, and it was straight forward. Basically it was around 20 to 30 minutes. The recruiter on the phone was very nice and tried to make it laid back as possible. The first 10 or so questions were over my resume and asked if I had any violations and things like that. Then they did get into what I call "essay questions".
Here is what I remember:
1. Why NetJets and not a major with the hiring going on? Also why NetJets and not another fractional?
2. In your opinion describe a professional pilot?
3 I have been a Ca for over 8 years so he asked if I could go back to being an FO and what would the most challenging coming to NetJets from a 121 carrier?
4. Tell a time that you went up and beyond to help out a passenger
5. Do you have any other jobs in your background with customer service.
6. Tell a time that you had to adjust your personality in a crew setting and how you did this? ( this to me was the most difficult question)
7. Asked if willing to relocate if needed
8. Asked why I wanted to leave my current employer.
He also said if I need a minute to think the question through to let him know. He said he would be pausing time to time because he was taking notes the whole time. It was actually pretty laid back for a phone interview. I think they are trying to see if you could fit and if they would be able to stand to fly with you. He told me he would send his notes off to the others to review and that I should here something in the next few weeks about if they want to bring me in for a face to face interview. I hope this helps and Merry Christmas to everyone. Hope some get the call soon.
