As well, I live in the Atlanta area and know a great deal about Delta and the historical relationship with their employees. I knew coming here that I'd never get the fancy new hire dinner with my wife and new bosses, etc. and have always been okay with that. Those same guys that got that fancy dinner and are praised regularly by their leaders also fly 5 days, off 2, then go back on for 8.
On the flip- my paycheck has never bounced here. When I had family emergencies, deaths in the family or the like I have been granted time off, no questions asked. I'm not harassed or bothered by the "uniform police" or any other silliness. I'm left to do my job stress-free and drama-free, no holiday card or group hug required.
