Do you really think that those in charge of hiring have any squadron bubbas left that they know from their military days? I know a interviewer at Delta and he can't get people a invite. The system is very fair overall. The simple fact is in general the resumes of the military guys are very impressive. Civilian resumes with equal achievements will and do get called and hired. If you excelled in college, have held jobs with leadership requirements and responsibilities and have or are working on a advanced degree you will get a call.
