There are many different ways to categorize the pilot group...guess mine was traits based on date of hire and what characteristics I've observed flying the system.
I assume the numbers you are referring with the furlough/downgrades happened as Alaska pilots...so they are based on DOH. Although we have plenty of pilots who have experience with furloughs/downgrades before coming to Alaska too, it just seems that DOH encapsulates the experience and attitudes based on time with the company and within the industry.
It's probably an unwritten rule never to compare one pilot with another...idk. Comparing AK residents at ANC base vs ANC commuters by choice, prior-Horizon vs non-prior, military vs non-military, former JetA folks....just to name a few in an extensive list of breakouts like furloughed pilots. There are so many different personalities and traits one can compare but I really began to see similarities as I outlined...mainly inspired by company events this year and witnessing the impact (most recently the hat policy).
