I thought SKW was one of the better regional airlines to work for? Not true anymore?
What is the size of classes? How many are showing up to class lately?
Been here at SkyWest for a while now, and there's no such thing as a perfect airline or perfect job. But there are still many, perhaps even most of the people I've worked with here do care about each other and producing the highest quality service for our customers.
Could we use more people to staff better? Absolutely. So come fly here and help solve the problem. Are there people that work in crew support that find themselves so pressured to staff flying that they end up going too far? Rarely, but it does happen. Out of the probably 100 experiences with crew support that I've personally had this year, all but one have been professional and curteous.
This is still a good place to be, and it can get better if we all work together to improve performance and support each other.
Sure one pilot's influence may be small in a company of 3400 pilots, but we could go from the good place that SkyWest is now back to the GREAT place it used to be if we each take what influence we do have on performance and customer experience and even our fellow crew members and do what we can to contribute and not just grab as much as we can.
Ask anyone who has flown for an airline and they will tell you that one crew member can make or break a trip.
Go ahead, let the attacks begin. This is a forum afterall
