Ask anyone who has flown for an airline and they will tell you that one crew member can make or break a trip.
Go ahead, let the attacks begin. This is a forum afterall

A noble thought, but the issue isn't crews doing their jobs but the company running roughshod over common sense and the rules they're supposed to abide by. Poor treatment of crews, running absurdly thin, PBS "awarding" minimum days off every month for months on end, etc. I'd love to pick up open time and make some extra money, assuming I have enough days off to de-stress and take care of things back home but anymore, time off is at a premium. I'm not willing to sacrifice it for a few extra bucks an hour.
There is absolutely a disconnect in SGU from what things are like for the line employees and they don't seem to have any interest in fixing it. See the now rescinded water memo disaster not long ago. The crews are doing in tremendous job in spite of the disconnect. I'm sure there are some who are taking advantage of the company and not doing their part, but they're few and far between. I've worked at more than one regional, and have plenty of friends sprinkled through the ranks. Unfortunately, SkyWest is just another regional when you get down to brass tacks. I realize this isn't unique to one company, but a systemic problem for most regionals, and that is why SKW isn't any different anymore. Unfortunately.
