Hey new guy here. I got an e-mail to interview with Delta on 28 Dec. I have not called them yet as my schedule and availability is a big unknown (activity Air Force attempting to separate). Anyone else had a similar e-mail? If so, I'm curious what date they are setting up interviews for.

call and explain the situation ASAP. Apologize profusely. Stating a close-in availability date when you haven't even been approved to separate is a huge foul.
If you get a CJO and it comes out somewhere (when offering you a class, background check, etc) that you haven't even been approved to leave AD, there's a strong perception that you've tried to game the system...which is exactly what you have done.
At that point, you're done at Delta. It's one thing if the situation is out of your control. This situation is completely within your control.
